By conducting our business in an environmentally responsible manner, we contribute to biodiversity, health, and climate adaptation. In doing so, we aim to mitigate climate change as much as possible. We ensure there is more, and more diverse, nature around our stations and depots. Additionally, we increase the availability of vegetarian and plant based options in our shops and staff canteens. Furthermore, we incorporate natural elements into our climate adaptation measures.

This means that we also procure goods with a (more) positive impact on the living environment. In doing so, we commit ourselves, among other things, to the protection of biodiversity and the conservation of soil and water. This applies, at the very least, to the procurement categories of landscaping, catering, retail, workwear, corporate and end-of-year gifts, and flowers. For wood and paper, we require the FSC or PEFC label. For food and drink, flowers and plants, we make a conscious choice regarding any labels, certifications, or initiatives. For products containing metals that can have a significant impact on biodiversity, such as iron ore, copper, lithium, and rare earth metals, we focus on using as much recycled metal as possible.
